Solenoids Some examples of our customized developments in solenoid technology:   Linear solenoid HS7389 for electromechanical steering wheel locks Application The currentless linear solenoid secures the unlocked position of a bolt in an electromechanical steering wheel lock when the vehicle is in motion. When the engine is switched off the solenoid is activated and the bolt unlocked. Heavy-duty solenoid RM08-HS2899/1 for ignition locks Application KeylessGO applications (ignition lock). The linear solenoid releases the start button. Compact, fully encapsulated design. Special materials for high corrosion protection are used.   Steering wheel lock with HS7337 Application When actuated, the solenoid releases a bolt for a steering wheel lock. When currentless, the pusher is held in the home position with a return spring. In released condition a micro switch for position recognition is activated.   Solenoid HS 7463 for transmission selector levers Application Linear solenoid for locking transmission selector levers of automatic gearboxes in luxury cars. Low-noise at high ambient temperatures. Rotation lock HS 2293 Application The currentless linear solenoid locks the rotation of the radial cam at 25° (the ignition key can thus no longer be turned). The linear solenoid's armature is pushed back by the return spring and the pusher prevents further turning of the radial cam. When the solenoid is activated the radial cam is released. Linear solenoid Application Solenoid actuator to unlock headrests in passenger cars. Short switching times even under high thermal load. Locking solenoid Applikation The solenoid mechanically secures the electric steering wheel lock's locking disk after release of the steering mechanism. A sensor adapted to the solenoid (Hall sensor) detects the fastening of the locking disk. Another Hall sensor with identical switching point, yet operating independently from the first, activates the "immobilizer control". Locking solenoid Application Transmission selector lever lock for automatic gearboxes. Cutout blade solenoid system with geometric adjustment to given installation methods. Absorbtion of high shear forces at low power input.   Pneumatics Some examples of our customized developments in pneumatics:   Check valve for the compensation of torsion on the axle and vehicle level adjustment Application Principle: The driver can push a button to compensate a torsion on the axle by means of a short-circuit of the pneumatic spring in order to gain additional grip. Valve solenoid for comfortable seating Application Controls the filling and emptying of the seats' air cushions. With up to 6 air cushions the seat can be adjusted individually for each passenger. Two default seating positions can be programmed.

Linear sensor detecting gearbox status

Application The linear sensor is used in electropneumatic manual transmissions. It senses the position of the transmission's gear wheels via a solenoid plunger and releases the respective shifting processes.

Rotary position sensor for commercial vehicles

Application The rotary position sensor for commercial vehicles is used to sense the clearance between axle and chassis. Angle detection is carried out contact-free.

Coupling sensor

Application The linear sensor is used in the clutch of electropneumatic manual transmissions. It senses the clutch's position via a solenoid plunger in order to detect wear and to release shifting processes after coupling.

Rotary position sensor for passenger cars

Application The rotary position sensor for passenger cars is used in SUVs to sense the clearance between axle and chassis. Angle detection is carried out contact-free

Some examples of our customized developments in electronics:

 

Rear view camera

Application The rear view camera features a wide-angle lense and automatically opens underneath the rear window when the reverse gear is activated. The image is shown on the navigation system's display. Large and bulky SUVs are thus much easier to maneuver. After shifting into forward gear and at a speed of 15 km/h the camera automatically slides back into a cover, varnished in the same colour as the car.

Engine fan control

Application Setting of engine fan speed in order to achieve the optimum thermal operating point of the combustion engine. The engine control unit sets the default reference value via a serial interface. The unit can diagnose short-circuits, excessive loads, mechanical stiffness, excess temperature etc. Speed offset to prevent vibrancy problems possible.

Fuel pump control

Application The unit is used for requirements-based activation of the fuel pump. A PWM signal (frequency approx. 20 kHz) is transmitted to the fuel pump's DC motor via an output stage. The output pulse-duty factor is calculated according to an input pulse-duty factor at the PWM input.

Climatic relay

Application Connection of magnetic transmission for the air-conditioning system. Actuation of water pump and fan relay.

Vehicle power cutoff

Application These devices are used during extended standing or transport periods. They cut the vehicle electrical system off the battery. An impedance measurement of the power system then detects e.g. that the brake pedal is actuated and in this case the battery is automatically connected again. A total discharge of the battery due to accidentally still connected consumer loads is thus reliably prevented
